#dogecoin IRC Guidelines
A relaxed chat room for regulars, newcomers, and lurkers alike. Sometimes related to, but not officially endorsed by, the cryptocurrency Dogecoin. Most people here already know how to act. These rules exist for the rare times someone makes the room unpleasant.
Channel Guidelines
- Don’t be a jerk. Disagree all you want, but don’t make it personal.
- No scams, malware, impersonation, or doxxing. No phishing links, fake giveaways, wallet theft attempts, or posting private information.
- No spam or flooding. Don’t flood the channel, mass-highlight people, repost the same thing repeatedly, or turn the room into your ad feed.
- Keep shilling under control. Talking about coins, markets, projects, and wallets is fine. Repetitive promotion, referral farming, and pump-and-dump behavior are not.
- Take the temperature down when asked. Heated arguments happen. If ops ask a topic to stop, move on or take it elsewhere.
- Keep edgy content to a minimum. Slurs, harassment, explicit content, and shock-posting are not the vibe.
- Don’t backseat moderate. If there is a real problem, ping an op instead of turning the channel into a courtroom.
- Use common sense. Not every bad behavior needs its own written rule. If you are obviously making the room worse, expect a nudge.
Moderation
- This room runs on vibes, not bureaucracy.
- Most problems get a quiet warning first.
- Repeated or obvious bad behavior may get a mute, kick, or ban.
- Ops are here to keep the room usable, not to win arguments.
Short Version
Relaxed semi-crypto-related chat. No scams, spam, doxxing, slurs, or pump-and-dump nonsense. Don’t make it personal. If ops ask to cool it, cool it.
